Promotion of Basic Education in Afghanistan: Practical Learning and Occupational Orientation & Results-based Monitoring

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded contracts for the GIZ funded "Practical Learning and Occupational Orientation" and "Results-based Monitoring" components of the Promotion of Basic Education in Afghanistan programme.
The project is essentially contributing to the “Development Offensive” established for the Northern Provinces of Afghanistan by the German Government in the framework of support to the education sector. Services are provided which serve capacity building in the Ministry of Education.
Association of African Distance Learning Centers (AADLC) Project - Knowledge Transfer in Change Management

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded the contract for the "Association of African Distance Learning Centers (AADLC) Project - Knowledge Transfer in Change Management", funded by the Institutional Development Fund of the World Bank.
The overall objective is to support the Association of African Distance Learning Centers (AADLC) in managing complex service contracts on behalf of its member centers and to help the Association in development and implementation, through peer/action learning on real-life projects, of an efficient working structure, including designing and implementing the strategic plan.
Provision of expertise to support ETF initiatives for human capital development

ABU Consult Berlin, as member of an international consortium, has been awarded the contract for the "Provision of Expertise for Quality Assurance, Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation" framework contract, funded by the European Training Foundation.
The objective of the framework contract is to provide high quality experts to conduct quality assurance, planning, monitoring and evaluation services of ETF activities in the education and training and related sectors.
Teacher Education Improvement Project - Upgrading Academic and Professional Teaching Qualification of Under-Qualified Class Teachers for Grades 1-4 - Palestine

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded the contract for the IDA funded "Upgrading Academic and Professional Teaching Qualification of Under-Qualified Class Teachers for Grades 1-4" project in Palestine, implemented under the Teacher Education Improvement Project.
In keeping with the Teacher Education Strategy, the aim of this project is to make provision for under-qualified, grade 1-4, class teachers to upgrade their academic qualifications to degree level and to gain a professional teaching qualification and, thereby, meet the standards required for teacher certification.
TVET School Entrance Examination - Mongolia

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded the contract for the "TVET School Entrance Examination" project, funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation.
The project is aiming to support MCA-Mongolia in the design of instruments for a rigorous impact evaluation of VET activities to assess the extent to which VET project activities, and, in particular, the establishment of a competency-based training system and complementary equipment upgrades, impact the overall quality of VET schools as well as the skill-level, productivity, employment, and income of VET graduates.
Rapid Employment Program - Provision of Pre-Employment Training - Solomon Islands

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded the contract for the IDA funded "Provision of Pre-Employment Training" project in Solomon Islands, implemented under the Rapid Employment Project.
The overall objective of the project is to assist targeted urban poor to: i) increase their incomes through the provision of short term employment; and ii) improve their knowledge, experience and basic employment skills that are valued in the work place and society.

ABU Consult Berlin has been awarded the contract for the IDA funded "Technical Assistance for Development of Teacher Professional Development Scheme" project in Armenia, implemented under the Education Quality and Relevance Project APL 2.
The objective of the TA is to support the implementation of the “Supporting further improvements in the quality of education through improved teacher in-service training and professional development” subcomponent through the development of a national system for teacher professional development, and creating a school improvement network.
